The University of Iowa has always been recognized for its tough play on the football field, particularly under the guidance of current coach Kirk Ferentz. Over the last few years, there have been some other noticeable developments in women’s college basketball, thanks in part to the greatness of the Hawkeyes star point guard Caitlin Clark.

Clark has been nothing short of fantastic during this women’s college basketball season, breaking several records. These accolades recently included her becoming the all-time leading scorer in College Basketball history in addition to breaking the all-time conference record in assists.

Clark has already announced that she’ll be headed for the WNBA draft, clearly being one of the most anticipated draft picks of all time in the WNBA. Her numbers during this current women’s basketball season are rather impressive, as Clark is averaging 32.3 PPG/ 7.3 REB/8.7 AST while shooting (.438%) from the three-point line. She’s also first in the conference in terms of free throw shooting percentage, averaging (.894%) from the stripe.

Clark has become a legend not only in women’s hoops, but she’s still being talked about consistently within the sports world amongst some of the all-time greats. Based on her play on the court, this lady certainly has a great approach in terms of being able to back up all the hype and praise that’s associated with her. Everywhere she plays (whether it’s a home game or on the road), it’s a sellout and a packed house consisting of many Clark fanatics wanting to witness greatness at its finest.

Caitlin Clark has also been ranked 4th amongst college athletes in terms of NIL deals and the revenue associated with that. She currently has NIL deals with State Farm, Buick, Nike, and Gatorade, with more on the way. Her estimated NIL deals are currently worth over $3.1 million.

If Caitlin Clark can stay healthy, I honestly believe she’ll shatter all the major records in the WNBA during her career. There may never be another Michael Jordan in men’s basketball, but on the lady’s side I have to say Caitlin Clark is the closest thing to the mystique and heir of greatness that Jordan once embodied.
