NFL Power Rankings – Week 2 (2025 Season)

1) Green Bay Packers (2-0) – The Packers opened the year dismantling the Lions and then easily beat Washington. Their defense looks unstoppable, and the offense is rolling. Not my Super Bowl favorite from the NFC, but after two weeks, they look like the NFL’s best team.

2) Philadelphia Eagles (2-0) – The defending champs are 2-0. It hasn’t been pretty, but they were my pick to repeat since the day after winning it all, and nothing changes here.

3) Buffalo Bills (2-0) – Josh Allen is playing Superman football. After a shaky defensive Week 1, the Bills shut down a Jets team that put up 32 points the week before. Best in the AFC right now.

4) Los Angeles Chargers (2-0) – Two road wins (Brazil, Vegas) to start. Defense is imposing, Herbert looks comfortable with new weapons, and they look like a legit AFC West challenger to KC — and maybe a Lombardi contender.

5) Baltimore Ravens (1-1) – Tough Week 1 loss to Buffalo, but bounced back by obliterating Cleveland. Offense looks smooth, and Hopkins has already helped Lamar. My preseason AFC Super Bowl pick.

6) Los Angeles Rams (2-0) – The defense has been the story, holding Houston to 9 points and allowing just one TD total through two weeks. Offense still clicking with Adams, Puka, and Kyren.

7) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-0) – Two gritty wins. They look battle-tested early and are the clear NFC South favorites.

8) Indianapolis Colts (2-0) – Dominated Miami Week 1, then survived Denver thanks to a penalty that allowed a second chance at a game-winning FG. They could easily be 3-0 before facing the Rams in Week 4.

9) Detroit Lions (1-1) – The Week 1 loss to Green Bay hurts, but this team still looks playoff-bound with a strong record ahead.

10) Denver Broncos (1-1) – Should be 2-0, but a costly special-teams penalty against Indy leaves them stuck at .500.

11) Washington Commanders (1-1) – A decent start, but the bigger concern is Daniels’ health.

12) Arizona Cardinals (2-0) – Undefeated, but both wins came against two of the NFL’s weakest teams.

13) San Francisco 49ers (2-0) – Off to a strong start, but missing Brock Purdy badly.

14) Cincinnati Bengals (2-0) – Undefeated record, but losing Joe Burrow for 3 months casts a huge shadow over their season.

15) Kansas City Chiefs (0-2) – Faced brutal competition (Chargers, Eagles) and came up short. Not panic time, but certainly not where they want to be.

16) Seattle Seahawks (1-1) – Solidly middle of the pack. Sam Darnold looks more like a consistent starter than a one-hit wonder that some people have suggested.

17) Pittsburgh Steelers (1-1) – Rodgers looked great Week 1 vs. the Jets, but Week 2 showed their true colors. Probably just an average team.

18) New England Patriots (1-1) – A mystery team. Could win 10 games or just 6. Drake Maye is intriguing, but the Week 2 win over Miami wasn’t convincing.

19) Dallas Cowboys (1-1) – No defense, but enough offensive firepower to keep games interesting. Their Week 3 matchup with Chicago could be fireworks.

20) Atlanta Falcons (1-1) – Mediocre ceiling, mediocre play. Nothing exciting has happened so far, despite a Week 2 win over Minnesota.

21) Minnesota Vikings (1-1) – Wentz takes over while McCarthy heals. Weapons are there, but JJ’s injury is crushing.

22) Houston Texans (0-2) – Tough start, and with the Colts rising fast, their margin for error is shrinking.

23) Las Vegas Raiders (1-1) – Flashed promise in Week 1 vs. New England, then crashed in Week 2 vs. the Chargers.

24) Jacksonville Jaguars (1-1) – Beating Carolina means little, and losing to Jake Browning and the Bengals hurts badly.

25) New York Giants (0-2) – Offense erupted vs. Dallas in a thriller, but still came up short. Not as bad as Week 1 suggested.

26) Chicago Bears (0-2) – Strong offense, terrible defense. Simple as that.

27) Cleveland Browns (0-2) – Bottom-tier team with an elite run defense — nothing else to cling to.

28) Tennessee Titans (0-2) – Cam Ward has shown flashes, but this looks like a rebuild season already.

29) New York Jets (0-2) – Week 1 optimism faded fast. Feels like another long year in New York.

30) Carolina Panthers (0-2) – Bryce Young deserves better, but the team’s play so far makes it hard to rank them any higher.

31) New Orleans Saints (0-2) – No upside with Rattler under center. Until they make a QB change, they’ll stay near the bottom.

32) Miami Dolphins (0-2) – The NFL’s worst team so far. Tua looks lost, McDaniel is clearly on the hot seat to the point that he might not even be the Dolphins head coach by next week, and now they face Buffalo on a short week—disaster brewing.
